Kira’s a gifted author and was looking for something that pushed the boundaries of an author portrait. When I saw her platinum hair, I knew exactly what we needed to do. Also, the main character in her novels is a crow. The portrait on black is to evoke that, down to how her hair almost feels like feathers.
